Every AI plan and app I use, and what I switched from
The short answer
I pay $430 a month for AI: $200 each for Claude Max 20x and ChatGPT Pro, and $30 for Grok Bot. Google AI Ultra (₩300,000, about $224) is cancelled and runs out on Oct 29. Almost everything else I use is free or open source.
Most of my switches came from heat or from getting blocked. My MacBook couldn't stay cool running agents in Orca, so on Oct 6 I moved the work to a Linux PC that I control from T3 Code. Google kept blocking my agent browsers in Flow, so I cancelled Ultra.

-
Max 20x
$200a month
Claude Code builds my apps and automations and runs my other agents. It's the plan I run out of.
-
Pro
$200a month
Codex checks Claude's work, does browser automation and makes my YouTube thumbnails. If OpenAI's next model doesn't keep me, this becomes a second Claude plan.
-
$30 plan
$30a month
Searching X. It finds posts my own agent misses.

Cancelled, ends Oct 29
Ultra, billed in Korea
₩300,000≈ $224 a month
I bought it for the 25,000 Flow credits and couldn't use them. Until it ends, Gemini watches my rough cuts.

Agents and the models behind them
Claude Codein my Claude plan
The agent I give most of my work to: it writes my apps, scripts and automations.
Codexin my ChatGPT plan
The second opinion. It fact-checks and reviews what Claude made, clicks through websites and draws thumbnails.
Since Sep 2025
Antigravity CLIin Google AI Ultra, until Oct 29
Gemini in the terminal. It watches my rough cuts and points out what to fix.
Since Jun 18, 2026
Where I run and watch agents
T3 Codefree, open source
One window for every agent thread. The app on my Mac and on my phone talks to the Linux PC, so work keeps going when I close the laptop.
Since Oct 6, 2026
OpenMausBotfree, open source
Runs my research bots around the clock on the Linux PC. On Oct 17 that was 17 bots and 25 routines.
Since Oct 14, 2026
Computers
Linux PC on OmarchyPC about $1,200 used; Omarchy is free
RTX 3090 Ti, bought for Stable Diffusion. Every agent, bot and render runs here, day and night.
Since Oct 1, 2026 (Omarchy)
MacBook Pro (M2 Pro)bought used
The control screen: I type to my agents in T3 Code here and keep my logged-in accounts here.
iPhone 15my phone
I film every video on it. The clips go to my Mac, and the PC picks them up from there.
Tailscalefree
Connects the Mac, the PC and the phone as if they were on one network.
Browsers for agents
ego litefree, open source
The browser my agents use for research on social media and websites. On the Linux PC it's my own port.
Asidefree
For sites with bot protection, and for tedious forms. It remembers how to fill them in.
Voice, video and the rest
FluidVoicefree
Dictation on my Mac. It's fast and fixes my words as I talk, so I don't need a paid dictation app for now.
Since Oct 19, 2026
HyperFramesfree, open source
Turns HTML into video. Titles, captions and animations in my edits are made with it.
Bitwardenfree
Passwords and 2-step codes.
GitHubfree
A private copy of every project, and the public share repo with the files from my videos.

What I switched, and why
Dates come from my notes, my agents' logs and install dates on my machines. Quotes are what I said at the time, translated from Korean where needed. Each chip links to the product.
Before 2026
2022 or 2023
Bought for Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI, for about $1,200. I used it to test image, music and video models.
Mar 2024
It's still my main plan, now Max 20x.
Sep 2025
A second coding agent next to Claude. Today it mostly checks Claude's work.

Agents on the MacBook
May 30
Mostly for Codex, plus its image generator for thumbnails.
Jun 18
Google stopped serving Gemini CLI to my accounts.
Jul 28
Macs Fan Control to MacFanSpeedy, my own app
Running several agents made my MacBook hot, and the free fan app has no keyboard shortcut. Codex built mine in about 36 minutes.

The work moves to the Linux PC
Oct 1
Oct 6
Orca on my MacBook to T3 Code and the Linux PC
“I was using Orca on my Mac to control a lot of agents … but then your fan just can't keep up with it.” Now I close the Mac and the work keeps running on the PC.

Oct 10–16
Cutting what doesn't pay for itself
Oct 13
A local LLM (Qwen) on my GPU to the AI plans I already pay for
“Useless for me, it just makes the GPU fan loud.” What I have spare is plan usage, not GPU time.
Oct 14
“The Hermes bots don't seem to do the work well.” OpenMausBot turned out easier to customize, and it runs on the plans I already have.
Oct 14
Someone else's Linux fork of ego lite to my own port, egolite
“I have to log in every time, and sessions clash between browsers.” So my agents ported ego lite to Linux themselves.
Oct 15
Hetzner servers to the Linux PC
My earlier bots and a Telegram bridge to Claude and Codex ran there. The PC already runs all day and I didn't need the Telegram bridge, so I cancelled one server on Oct 8 and deleted the last on Oct 15.
Oct 15
My own agent scrolling X to Grok Bot
My agent scrolled 185 posts and missed 13 that Grok Bot found. “Just use this for X search.”
Oct 12–16
HeyGen, then a Google Flow avatar of me to filming myself on my phone
HeyGen felt fake. The Flow twin's voice matched mine at 0.88, but the episode was boring, and the next option cost $387 a month. “I'll just film it myself.”
Oct 16
AI voice cleanup to a real microphone
“I'll just use a mic, no need to burn compute.”
Oct 16
Google AI Ultra to cancelled, ends Oct 29
“That's the only reason I have subscribed”: 25,000 Flow credits. Flow blocks the browser automation I'd need to use them, and I'm not prompting by hand ten hours a day.
Oct 16
Backups to Google Drive to restic to my Mac
Without Ultra, my Drive drops from 30 TB to the free 15 GB.
Oct 17 to now
Oct 19
Added FluidVoice for dictation
“I'm surprised it's a lot better than what I have expected. … I don't really need the paid ones as of now.”
Oct 19–20
Fixed fan speeds in MacFanSpeedy to a Steady Comfort mode
Fixed speeds left either the fan loud or the keyboard hot. The new mode waits for 90 seconds of warmth before it steps up, changes at most once every five minutes, and has “Keyboard too warm” and “Prefer quieter” buttons to tune it.
Next
ChatGPT Pro to maybe a second Claude plan
I'm waiting for OpenAI's next model. If it doesn't keep me, I'll “add another Claude subscription because I usually run out of it.”
04
Apps I built for myself
Small apps for my own problems, mostly written by Claude Code and Codex. The code isn't public yet.
-
In progress
CueRoom
iPhone app
A camera that suggests what to talk about, shows follow-up questions while I film based on what I actually said, and lists what my story is still missing before I edit, so I can film a short pickup right away. The footage stays on the phone.
“Sometimes you just want to shoot really fast and share your idea … but you can't.” It's for founders who want to film their ideas quickly. Started Oct 17; not in the App Store yet.
Why I built it (Short) -
Daily use
MacFanSpeedy
Mac menu bar app
Keeps the fan steady and the keyboard cooler while agents run. It smooths out short spikes, changes speed at most once every five minutes, and one shortcut cycles its modes.
Codex built the first version on Jul 28 in about 36 minutes, on top of the open-source smctl.
See it in my setup video -
Daily use
Auto-edit
Linux PC, command line
Turns phone clips into a captioned first cut: it transcribes, cuts the pauses and fact-checks what I said.
On Oct 17 it went from 8 phone clips to a first full cut in 1 h 43 min. A 5–6 minute video used to take me about 4 hours to edit.

Behind the scenes: what keeps the bots running
-
Runs 24/7
Research desk
Linux PC, on OpenMausBot
Bots that search Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, X and Threads, keep the original links, and sort what they find into emerging topics and topics gaining or losing momentum.
It feeds the video ideas in CueRoom, and it's the tool the waitlist on this site is for.
How it works -
Daily use
egolite
Linux
My Linux port of ego lite (by CitroLabs, open source). Every agent on my PC shares this one browser and one set of logins.
Ported on Oct 14. It passes the original project's 69 real-browser tests.
-
Runs nightly
Receipts
Linux PC
Counts what my automations ran each week, what failed and how much machine time they used. No AI involved, just the logs.
Oct 13–19: 4,385 timer runs, 13 failures, 133.2 machine-hours.
-
Always on
Job breaker
Linux PC
Switches off any scheduled job that keeps failing and tells me, so a broken bot doesn't burn tokens all night.
Built Oct 14 after I asked my agents to stop wasting tokens on jobs that keep failing.
